Anyone reading this blog on a regular basis knows the value I place on a nice manicure...lawn manicure, that is! Hats off to our own Indianapolis Indians groundskeeper, Joey Stevenson! He has been voted International League Sports Turf Manager of the Year for the second straight year! This places him in the running for Triple-A classification's Sports Turf Manager of the Year (which he received in 2011).
Stevenson has been head groundskeeper of Victory Field since 2008. You can read an account of this Purdue graduate's responsibilities on a typical evening game day here.
