In this case, not boots, but 10-feet tall steel painted sculptures of walking men and women were positioned around the city of Anderson, Indiana this summer. These works of art are representative of various businesses and organizations with designs created by local artists. The purpose of this venture is to encourage the community to think in terms of moving forward.
I enjoyed capturing photos of a number of the sculptures as they were gathered in the downtown area for a festival celebrating the completion of the project. I will let the visuals speak for themselves.
Take a look a little more up-close and face-to-face to enjoy the details.
These saddle oxfords and argyle socks are just so special!
Congratulations Anderson!

These are fantastic! My parents town of New Bern, NC did something similar, except different business, companies, etc. designed different versions of the same great black bear, the town's unofficial mascot. It was fun spotting them throughout the town and seeing the very different interpretaions of the same theme.
I love the positive connection of moving forward, though.
